Meagan Eckerle - Office Manager/Head Technician

Meagan joined the Double Oak Family in September of 2013 as a Veterinary Technician. Originally from Colorful Colorado, she has lived in California and Florida. She started her education in the Veterinary field in 2003 at Front Range Community College in the Veterinary Technology and Research program that was offered thru her high school. Even though her love for animals never left her, Meagan went on to pursue her Bachelors in Hospitality Management at the University of South Florida. Using what she has learned in Hospitality Management she is able to make the patients and clients feel right at home. At home Meagan has 1 dog and 7 cats. In her spare time, which there isn't a lot of, you can always find her in her office working away, spending time with fur children, or at a Dallas Stars Hockey game.
Melissa Brickle - Veterinary Technician

Melissa has worked with the DOVMC staff for over 5 years in many capacities. First as a rescue organization’s facility director within the clinic, to a kennel tech, receptionist and technician assistant. She now is our relief technician and helps out when needed. This jack-of-all-trades hasn’t always worked in animal medicine, however. After graduating from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor’s degree and teaching certification in Theatre Education, she went on to pursue a Master’s degree and teaching certification in Elementary Education. She worked in the elementary school setting for many years before realizing that animals were her true passion. She has been a volunteer and foster for Coppell Humane Society for many years, specializing in labor & delivery and bottle feeding puppies and kittens. When not working or at adoption events, Melissa squeezes in time with her human first love and works out. Her fur babies consist of three dogs (Tandie, Tonto (RIP), and Amber) and two cats (Tina and PattyCake); soon to add sugar gliders and a ferret to the mix again. One day she hopes to build an animal sanctuary/adoption center with an attached boarding facility, mini vet clinic and on-site living quarters.
